Elding Oscarsson has operated since 2007 based on the founders' solid experiences from Sweden and Japan. From this origin, the office has gradually formed its own place in the Swedish architecture, where the entire chain from method and vision to detail and implementation is clear and strong.
Elding Oscarssons work spans in multiple fields, scales and building types, where each design task represents a unique chance to re-evaluate conventions, solve problems and formulate a relevant and precise response. Elding Oscarson has created a great value for clients, users and the public and has won several awards for its completed buildings, including the 2017 Kasper Salin Award.
Johannes Norlander Arkitektur AB is a young and progressive architectural office. The company was founded in 2004 and the office is in Stockholm. Johannes Norlander is a well-known architect on the European scene, he often lectures at technical faculties around Europe and is also often invited to international exhibitions.
He is appreciated for his reduced but poetic way of dealing with buildings, not infrequently through pragmatic and rational means. Regardless of the scope, the projects always have a clear character where the detailing plays an important role in creating a strong but subtle architecture.
The office devotes great care from draft to the built. This commitment resulted in a Kasper Salin award, Sweden's finest architecture award, in 2016 for the Studio 1 housing project. In 2018, Johannes Norlander was elected as a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Arts.
Raised in Lund and started his architectural practice in Stockholm in 1995. The office gained early attention for its design of spaces for art, such as art galleries, galleries, studios, exhibitions and auction houses. Although the office works in a number of different areas, over time the business has come to focus more and more on housing, from individual to multi-apartment buildings.
Projects that have received particular attention include Villa Överby and Klobbudden, which have also received wide international attention and led to a number of assignments abroad.
Consistent with all of the architect's office's projects is a clear aesthetic attention and care to detail. Distinctive for the projects is a carefully selected combination of few materials with the intention of giving an aesthetically sustainable expression that lasts over time – so you don´t have to replace or change what is materially permanent.
